Helen F. Aldridge, 88, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Mt. Carmel Senior Living in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born November 9, 1924, in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of Wade C. and Hazel Seib Fowler. She was a graduate of Jefferson City Senior High School and William Woods College. She attended the University of Missouri - Columbia and earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Lincoln University in Jefferson City after raising her two children. On July 7, 1945, Helen was united in marriage in Jefferson City to Ray Aldridge, who preceded her in death on June 22, 2002. Helen worked for a number of years at the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and as an accountant in the Missouri State Auditor's Office. She was an avid golfer in her younger years, a member of First United Methodist Church and past president of the Jefferson City School Board. She is survived by one son, Charles R. Aldridge and wife Jeannine of St. Louis; one daughter, Carol Richey and husband Rob of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister, Mildred "Mickey" Mosier of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clarence Fowler. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert Richey, son-in-law, officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
