Donald Suttie

Donald Suttie, 74, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, at his residence in Eldon, Missouri. On October 7, 1939, he was born in Glen Cove, New York, the son of the late James and Maggie (Thompson) Suttie. On July 13, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, he was united in marriage to Martha Alice (Bittle) Suttie who survives of the home. Donald served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masons. He was employed with the state of Missouri until his retirement. He was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Natalie and Steve Scrivner of Eldon, Mo., Nancy and Antonio Lombardi of West Chester, Ohio, Heather and Gary Looten of Olean, Mo., Lori and Michael Nortrup of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Looten, Brett Looten, Morgan Looten, Maria Lombardi, Sophia Lombardi, Isabella Lombardi, Vito Lombardi, Rosalina Lombardi, Matthew Nortrup and Maggie Nortrup; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Dr. Richard Kittredge of New Hope, Pa.; sister-in-law, Diane Suttie of Syosset, N.Y. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. His parents, and one brother, James Suttie preceded him in death. Visitation will be Friday December 20, 2013, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. Funeral service will be Saturday December 21, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. with Minister Chris Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Mo. with Full Military Honors provided by the Eldon VFW Post #2442 of Eldon, Mo. Memorials are suggested to China Love Ministries, 6308 Hickory Hill Rd., Henley, MO 65040. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
