Joseph G. Tellman

Mr. Joseph G. "Joe" Tellman, age 49 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at his mother's home. Joe was born on July 30, 1964, in Rolla, Mo., the son of Charles Joseph and Patricia Elizabeth Finn Tellman. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Joe was a 1983 graduate of Helias High School and attended Lincoln University. He was employed for the last seven years as an attendant with the Independent Living Resource Center and retired in December 2012 from ill health. Before his work at ILRC, he was self-employed with his father as a handyman. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include: his mother, Patricia Tellman Barding; his sister, Christie Tellman of Jefferson City, Mo.; and one nephew, Zachary Dawson of Jefferson City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tellman, in March 2004. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013, with a Rosary Service to be conducted at 4:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Our Lady of Snows Cemetery in Mary's Home, Mo., with the Reverend Colin Franklin officiating.
