Juanita A. "Nita" Paden

Juanita A. "Nita" Paden, age 78, of Quincy, Ill., died Friday, September 21, 2012, in St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. She was born on April 8, 1934, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Paul and Bertha (Pirner) Oidtman. She married Robert L. "Bob" Paden on October 27, 1953, in the St. Peter Cathedral in Jefferson City. He survives. Nita was a member of the Church of St. Peter. She was a past president for the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Nita was a fantastic cook, she loved to fish, socialize and play cards. Above all, Nita's life was devoted to her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: four sons, Gary L. Paden and his wife Diane of Lenexa, Kan.; Michael R. "Mike" Paden of Quincy Ill.; Steven J. Paden and his wife Michelle of Williamsville, Ill.; and Christopher Paden and his wife Pamela of Peru, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Matthew Paden and his wife Shauna, Melissa Franzen and her husband Tim, Jessica Wilson and her husband Ryan, Courtney Paden, Andrew Paden, Adam Paden and Olivia Paden; four great-grandchildren, Alexa Franzen, Lydia Franzen, Tim Wilson and Jason Wilson; one sister, Carol Crader and her husband Larry; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Dorothy Scott; and three brothers: Richard, Jim and Larry Oidtman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter by Msgr. Leo Enlow. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a Parish Prayer services at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus TV Mass for Shut-Ins. www.dukerandhaugh.com
