Betty Lucille Bondurant Elliott

Betty Lucille Bondurant Elliott, age 86, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, at her home in Jefferson City. She was born March 5, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence and Corinne Hattie Lear Reinbold, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Indianapolis, Indiana. Betty was united in marriage to Lawrence Hulen Bondurant, on June 27, 1947, who preceded her in death. Betty then married Truman Elliott on December 17, 1978, who also preceded her in death. Betty was employed with the Missouri Department of Agriculture for 20 years. Betty also worked in housekeeping at Capital Region Medical Center. Betty was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Roy Sone Post #1003 in Jefferson City; The Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post #424 at Hartsburg; the Mount Pleasant Friendship Club, Hartsburg; Rebekah Lodge #197, Indianapolis, Indiana; and New Hope Baptist Church, Marion, where she taught Sunday school and helped in the kitchen with vacation bible school for many years. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Survivors include: one son, Larry Joe Bondurant with his wife Danielle of Jefferson City; two daughters, Anita Rains, Jefferson City, and Betty Elaine Cole with her husband Ricky of Jefferson City; one brother, Don Reinbold of Indianapolis, Indiana; one half brother, Leroy Reinbold of Boonville; one half sister, Joyce Land with husband Bob of Boonville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husbands, Betty was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Mason Rackers, and special friend, Leroy Bartlett. Visitation will be Monday September 24, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Russellville, with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m., with Ryan Stiffler officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg. Memorials are suggested to New Bloomfield Animal Shelter and Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
