Edna June Reed

Edna June Reed, 74, of Mayview, Missouri, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs. She was born March 12, 1938, in Wainwright, a daughter of Ira Joseph and Nancy (Davis) Brandenburg. In 1971, Edna was united in marriage in Kansas City to John Reed, who survives at their home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Ira Edward Linze of Blue Springs; three granddaughters: Michelle McGrail, Angela Fordham, Bethany Parks all of Blue Springs; four great-grandchildren: Derek Allgood, Charlie McGrail, Shelby Fordham, Lilly Fordham, all of Blue Springs; and two brothers: Robert Brandenburg of Texas and Bill Brandenburg of Centerview, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny, Jay and Tom Brandenburg; and sisters, Betty Robinett, Irene Jinson and Emma Lee Reed. Friends will be received from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Home, Holts Summit, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment will follow in the Mt.
