Mary Lou Luebbert

Mary Lou Luebbert, 77, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born November 13, 1935, in St. Elizabeth, Missouri, the daughter of Francis X. and Anna (Luebbert) Luetkemeyer. She graduated from St. Peter High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. In 1968, she married the light of her life, Walter Luebbert, who preceded her in death on June 22, 2011. Mary Lou worked for S. H. Kress, Stegemier Jewelry, House of Bargains and 17 years for the State of Missouri. She and her husband also owned and operated Capital City Texaco, Capital City Propane and Chocolate Aahs. She was very active in the Soup Kitchen in Holts Summit, Missouri. Her favorite pas-time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, designing gift baskets, searching antique malls, going to rummage sales, selling on Ebay and working in the yard. Survivors include three sons: Bill and wife Kathy Luebbert of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, Lindel Bolten of Jefferson City, Keith and wife Linda Bolten of Jefferson City; three daughters: Paula and husband Tom Karl of Farmington, Missouri, Lissa and husband Brian Davis of Naples, Florida, and Carol and husband Mike Clark of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister: Ruth and husband Louis Kolb of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers: Robert, Herman, Ralph, Urban and Albert Luetkemeyer; and two sisters: Helen Thessen and Pauline Luetkemeyer. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit, with Msgr. Gregory L. Higley officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Jefferson City. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Mary Lou to the Soup Kitchen in Holts Summit, Missouri, c/o Helen Manson, 1734 State Road Y, New Bloomfield, Missouri 65063.
