Lucille Mary Scott

Lucille Mary Scott, 93, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born on September 19, 1919, the daughter of Peter Joseph and Louise Victoria (Renn) Meller. She was married on May 4, 1940, in St. Martins, Missouri, to Frederick Donald Scott who preceded her on April 15, 1994. A homemaker, Mrs. Scott enjoyed sharing stories, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and flowers. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include four sons, David Michael Scott, Overland Park, Kan.; John Scott, Overland Park, Kan.; Steve Scott, Cotati, Calif.; and Donald "DJ" Scott, Green Cove Springs, Fla.; six daughters, Linda Skinner, Overland Park, Kan.; Lorna Phillips, Kansas City, Mo.; Leah (Jim) Henderson, Junction City, Ore.; Layne (Stan) Prenger, Kansas City, Mo.; Lesley (Bill) LePage, Centertown, Mo.; and Laura Scott, Jefferson City, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Margie) Meller, Lohman, Mo.; one sister, Dorothy Elliott, Omaha, Neb.; and one sister-in-law, Frances Meller, Brazito, Mo. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Caden Prenger; son-in-law, Ron Skinner; three brothers, Peter Meller, Phil Meller and Bernard Meller and three sisters, Frances Sartain, Loraine Hampton, and Rosetta Trammell. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tony Viviano officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:00. Memorials are suggested to the Vogelweid Learning Center, 314 W.
