Velma Mae Schuler, 94, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Saturday November 3, 2012, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Missouri. On May 16, 1918, she was born in Cole County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Phillip Monroe and May Maud (Dawson) Blank. On November 4, 1936, in Jefferson City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Roy E. Schuler who preceded her in death on December 26, 2005. Velma was an active member of the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. Prior to residing at Eldon Nursing & Rehab she enjoyed living at the Lee House in Eldon, Mo. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Shaffer Davenport of Eldon, Mo., Mary Ann and David Frank of Eldon, Mo.; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sharon Schuler of Eldon, Mo.; eight grandchildren and spouses, Stephen Davenport, Marc and Tina Davenport, Darla and Kevin Byrd, Mike and Trudy Frank, Lori and Dave Sevon, Brandon and Amy Frank, Rhonda and James Dale, Andrew Joel and Jody Schuler; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. One infant daughter, Betty Jean Schuler and one sister, Emma Irene Blank preceded her in death. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday. November 7, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. with Chris Reynolds, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Russellville, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Velma are suggested to the Ninth Street Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
