Sherry Waggoner

Sherry Jane Waggoner, 55, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born August 24, 1956, in Jefferson City, a daughter of James and Norma Jean (Pitts) Roark. She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and earned her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Nichols Career Center. Sherry recently retired from Pin Oak Nursing Home in Mexico, Missouri, where she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was married to James "Keith" Waggoner Sr., who preceded her in death. Survivors include two children: James Keith Waggoner Jr. and wife Stacy of Jefferson City, Deanna Roberts of Jefferson City; four siblings: Carol Pfeiffer of Russellville, Terry Roark and wife Dorothy of Eldon, Marshall Roark and wife Iva of Russellville, Malissa Evers and husband Tony of Russellville; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Amy Waggoner; and one sister, Rhonda Conners. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Kent George officiating.
