Betty V. Rhoades

Betty V. Rhoades, 91, of Mexico, Mo., formerly of Assumption, Ill., died Friday May 18, 2012, in Mexico, Mo. Betty was born December 1, 1920, in Owaneco, Ill., the daughter of Cecil A. and Eula May( Oaks) Long. She married Charles A. Rhoades in St. Charles, Mo, March 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1997. Betty was a member of the Hinton Church of God and was a 1938 graduate of Assumption High School. Surviving are her sons, Donald, Charles, Randy, Dennis and Kenneth Rhoades; daughters, Rosalie Cima, Beverly Kibler, and Betty Herron; 18 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday May 21, 2012, in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with Pastor James M. Baldwin Sr. officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.
