Billy "Bill" Don Ashmore, age 65, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Bill was born May 9, 1947, in Crocker, a son to the late Leonard and Gladys (Long) Ashmore. Bill was a graduate of Iberia High School and attended Linn Technical College. He was also a Vietnam Army Veteran. Bill had worked as a supervisor for a manufacturing company. He was of the protestant faith and a member of VFW Post #4756 in Linn. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing basketball. Bill is survived by: two sons, William and his wife Tisha Ashmore of Bonnots Mill and Aaron Ashmore of Bentonville, Ark; two daughters, Casey and her husband Gary Unger of Quincy, Ill. and Amanda and her husband David Roberts of Linn; one brother, Rob Ashmore of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Tammy and her husband Al Bonneville of Collierville, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Kathy Ashmore of Bentonville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Mackenzie and Wesley Ashmore, Caleb Ray, Halee Lock, Brady and Nolan Bockenfeld, and Boone, Grace, and Hannah Roberts; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bo Ashmore. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
