Jammie Lynn Berendzen, 30, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born February 2, 1982, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Louis and Darla (Gerbes) Alber. She was a 2000 graduate of Jefferson City High School and went on to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, and was a graduate of Lincoln University, where she earned her degree in Business Administration. On September 27, 2008, Jammie was united in marriage to Eric Berendzen, who survives at their home. Jammie worked as Administrative Services Coordinator at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives in Jefferson City. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hunting, and loved her Black Lab "Rowdy". Jammie participated in and supported the American Cancer Society - Cole County Relay for Life. Most of all, Jammie loved spending time with her family and friends. Along with her husband Eric, Jammie is also survived by her parents: Louis and Darla Alber of Jefferson City; one brother: Michael Alber (Abbey) of Jefferson City; maternal grandfather: Robert Gerbes of Jefferson City; one nephew: Kasen Alber of Jefferson City; and her father and mother-in-law: Gary and Sharon Berendzen of Jefferson City. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Fr. Francis Doyle and Fr. Tom Alber concelebrating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, In Memory of Jammie Berendzen.
