Carolyn Bunger

Carolyn (Scott) Bunger, 63 of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at St. Joseph Bluffs in Jefferson City. On September 28, 1948, she was born in Eugene, the daughter of Benjamin Scott Sr. and Clara Ellen (Farris) Scott Jenkins. On June 9, 1984, she was married in Jefferson City, to Wayne Bunger, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Carolyn was a member of the Spring Garden Baptist Church. She was retired from Labors Local 662 and had also been a member of I.B.E.W. out of Kansas City. Survivors include her sons: Andy Scott of Jefferson City, Bryan Scott of Eldon, Bradley Weaver of Eugene, Mike Basnett of Jefferson City, and Scott Phillips of Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren; her mother, Clara Ellen (Farris) Scott Jenkins of Olean; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and David Bond of Eugene; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Judy Scott of the state of California, Jimmie Lee Scott of the state of California, Patrick and Judy Scott of Jefferson City, and John and Tammy Scott of Olean; sister-in-law, Tina Scott of Holts Summit; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; father; step-father, "Jimmie" Jenkins; two brothers, Benjamin "Benji" Scott, Jr. and David Scott; and one nephew, David Scott II. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22, 2012, from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ken Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene. Memorials for Carolyn Bunger are suggested to the Spring Garden Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
