William Wilson Whitaker

William "Bill" Wilson Whitaker, 58, of California, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at his home. He was born on October 21, 1953, in Hannibal, to William and Marcia (Wilson) Whitaker. In 1977, Bill was married to Joy Spratley at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Molino. After 26 years, Bill retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections. Currently, he was working in the Bakery at Schulte's Fresh Foods in Jefferson City. Bill is survived by: his wife Joy, of their home; two daughters, Deanna Perez with husband Greg of Jamestown, and Jenny Brown with her husband Aaron of California; three grandchildren, Melanie, Nicolas, and Ashleigh Perez; three brothers, one sister, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, one granddaughter, Kelsey Perez, and his brother, Bob Whitaker. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
