Gary Wynne Hill, age 53, of Vienna, departed this life on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at his residence near Vienna. He was born on May 12, 1958, in St. Louis, a son of Donald and Orpha "Callie" (Feeler) Pryor. Mr. Hill was united in marriage on April 30, 1994, at Joplin to Miss Laura Ellen Bruey. Mr. Hill was a member of the First Assembly of God of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and a member of the Missouri Jaycees, having served as a state officer. He had worked for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, and coached his children's baseball teams. Mr. Hill was an avid sports fan of all types, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR and loved spending time with his family. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Hill include his wife, Laura Hill, of the home near Vienna; one son, Brandon Chase Hill, and one daughter, Cassidy Blair Hill, both of the home near Vienna; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Carol Pryor, Freeburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Trula and Mark Woods, Jefferson City and Dawnette and Michael Zook, Middlesex, New Jersey; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father on March 25, 2002; his mother on August 15, 2009; two daughters, Shelby Hill in September 1993 and Heather Hill on May 3, 1994; his grandparents, Vernon and Nelda Feeler and Woodrow and Roberta Moreland. Visitation for Mr. Hill will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and 10-11 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012, all in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with David Ward, Joplin, officiating. Interment will be in the James Community Cemetery near Vienna. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
