Earl Kent Campbell, 78, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, August 2, 2012, at BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington-Normal, Ill. He was born on September 18, 1933, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Denver Earl and Nellie Evans Campbell. He was married on January 15, 1960, in Tipton, Mo., to Rosemarie Catherine Hainen who survives at the home. A graduate of Jefferson City High School, Mr. Campbell was employed as a welder with DeLong, Inc.; as an electrician with G& H Electric; and retired in 1995 as Construction Manager with the Missouri Division of Design and Construction where he had served for more than 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran from 1952 to 1956. He was a past president of Meadow Lake Country Club; and a member of the American Legion; Fraternal Order of Elks; and the Cole County Deputy Sheriff Auxiliary. Designer and contractor on the last home he owned, Mr. Campbell enjoyed golfing, woodwork, flying small planes, traveling, riding motorcycles, and car restorations. Other survivors include three children, Greg (Alyson) Campbell, Jefferson City; Kelly (Troy) Winslow, Bloomington, Ill.; and Dana (Kevin) Rackers, New Bloomfield, Mo.; five grandchildren, Hanna Winslow, Ben Winslow, Zeb Rackers, Zack Rackers; and Nitasha Bradrick; and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Bradrick. He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Hentges. Funeral services will 3 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 5th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
