Elmira Hoffman

Elmira Carolyn Hoffman, 85, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Boone Hospital. Elmira was born on November 11, 1925, in Napoleon, Mo., as the eldest daughter of Edgar and Meta Kronshage. Elmira married Howard Hoffman on October 10, 1946, and lived on a farm in Bates City until moving to Columbia and Jefferson City as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading recipes as well as raising and spending time with her family. She leaves behind; a loving husband of 65 years, Howard Hoffman; three children: Jim and Sharon Hoffman, Columbia, Mo.; Janelle and Lowell Patterson, Columbia, Mo.; and John and Christina Hoffman, Austin, Texas; three grandchildren she loved so much: Sarah Hoffman, Columbia; Ellen and Thomas Hoffman, Austin, Texas; one sister: Elaine Busse, Grain Valley and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She's joining her parents and brother, Bryon Kronshage, in Heaven. Visitation will be at St. Paul Church in Napoleon, Mo. from 1:00 to 2:00 on Sunday, October 23.
