Ruth Arlene (Sanders) Huff

Ruth Arlene (Sanders) Huff, age 77, of California, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011, at her residence. She was born November 28, 1933, the daughter of Oscar and Theresa (McDaniel) Sanders, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Clarksburg High School and attended St. Louis Nursing School. She was united in marriage on June 27, 1953, in Fortuna, to Carol E. "Perry" Huff, who preceded her in death on March 31, 2003. She was a seamstress at California Manufacturing for 44 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards, gardening, watching hummingbirds and her three dogs, and she loved to cook. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in California. She is survived by five sons, Daniel R. Huff, Salem, Sheldon C. Huff, Carroll R. Huff, Russell L. Huff and Bryan E. Huff, all of California; four daughters, Connie S. Moore, Cathy I. Figgins, Theresa A. Sapp and Marian D. Wise, all of California; two brothers, Ralph Sanders of California and Donald Sanders of Elston; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Holbert Sanders. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in California. Officiating will be the Rev. Ron Gross and Rev. Greg Morrow. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S.
