Aloysious Louis "Al" Bochat, 82, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born on August 25, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Joseph Harry and Bernice Sophie Garlitzke Bochat. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was united in marriage on May 8, 1954, in Jefferson City, to Loretta Rita Luebbert who preceded him in death on March 3, 1993. Al worked as a printer for the Missouri Bar Association for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 5, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and the Midwest Bowling League. Al enjoyed golfing, dancing, bowling, and most especially his time with his family. Survivors include: two children, Dennis (Nancy) Bochat, Jefferson City; Julie Bochat, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Jill (Pat) Mingucci; Todd Bochat; two siblings, Patricia (Al) Freese, Algonquin, Ill.; Rick Mitchell, Joliet, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Luebbert, Holts Summit; and a brother-in-law, Leo Bush, Naples, Fla. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dolly Bush. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Dylan Schrader, officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
