Kenneth Richard Anderson, 57, of Anaheim, California, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California, after a valiant struggle with brain cancer. He was born November 10, 1952, in Knoxville, Iowa, son of Thomas and Lois Anderson. Ken grew up on his family farm off Route 14 between Chariton and Knoxville, Iowa. He graduated from Chariton High School in 1970 and Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in 1974. After working for many years as Controller for Central Dairy in Jefferson City, he moved to Southern California in 2001, where he continued work in the accounting field. He was an avid filmgoer and a fountain of knowledge about motion picture history, and his interests only deepened with his move to the Los Angeles area. He also enjoyed music, travel, California's beaches, and, above all, his family. Ken returned each year to Iowa to visit his parents and family, and he always maintained a love for the state of his birth. Services will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California (http://www.fairhavenmemorial.com) on Monday, November 15 at noon. Memorials in his name may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society 22 Battery Street, Suite 612 San Francisco, California 94111 (http://www.braintumor.org).
