Robert Paul Schulte, 45, of St. Thomas, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at his home. He was born June 29, 1964, in Jefferson City, a son of Paul and Emergine (Wieberg) Schulte. He was a 1982 graduate of Blair Oaks High School. Robert owned and operated R.S. Plumbing. He enjoyed farming with his family, pulling tractors and running heavy equipment. Robert was a collector and restorer of old MOPAR Muscle Cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by two sons: Stephen Schulte of Omaha, Neb.; Jonathan Schulte of Henley, Mo.; two step-daughters: Ashley Barnard of Jefferson City, Mo.; Brittney Moore of Jefferson City, Mo.; his mother: Emergine Schulte of Osage Bend, Mo.; two brothers: Sylvester Schulte (wife Cheryl) of Olean, Mo.; Leo Schulte (wife Kathy) of St. Thomas, Mo.; six sisters: Rita Wolken (husband Robert) of Osage Bend, Mo.; Marilyn Doerhoff (husband Ron) of Henley, Mo.; Sharon Rademan (husband Charles) of Osage Bend, Mo.; Joyce Bauer (husband Steve) of Jefferson City, Mo.; Phyllis Bacon (husband Brian) of Blue Springs, Mo.; Jeanne Pliska (husband Chris) of Osage Bend, Mo.; two step-grandchildren: Tristan Painter of Jefferson City, Mo.; Lane Ford of Jefferson City, Mo.; two god-children: Kelly Wieberg and Shelby Pliska; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Paul Schulte; one brother: Leonard Schulte; one niece: Mary Beth Rademan; and one nephew: Wayne Wolken. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., with Fr. Mark A. Porterfield officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, at the St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend, with Fr. Ignazio C. Medina and Fr. Mark A. Porterfield, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Margaret of Antioch Cemetery in Osage Bend. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Margaret of Antioch Cemetery Association.
