Daniel Latham

Daniel Edward Latham, 34, of California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his residence. He was born on January 6, 1976, in Columbia, Mo., the son of Richard and Sue (Reed) Latham, both of whom survive of California, Mo. He was married to Laura Schatzer, who survives of the home, on April 22, 2000, at Pilot Grove Baptist Church near Latham, Mo. He was a 1995 graduate of California High School, and a member of the First Christian Church. He worked as a farmer for Schatzer Cattle, was a member of the Randy Martin Team #14 Pit Crew, and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by one son, Garrett Latham; two daughters, Taylor and Danika Latham; in-laws Richard and Nancy Schatzer and Cindy Schatzer and Mike Garcia; one sister, Susan Brougham and husband Steve; grandparents, Edward and Maxine Reed; grandparents, Bob and Marilyn Schatzer; grandparents, Ronnie and Joyce Kiesling; grandparent, Alita Schram; brother-in-law, Jason Schatzer; sister-in-law, Tanya Miller; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Cecil and Jewel Harris; sister-in-law, Sandra Schatzer; uncles, Bobby Gene and Michael Schatzer; and aunt , Vickie (Reed) Wood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial will be in Latham Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Kuttenkuller. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
