Clara K. (Goetz) Miller, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Adams Street Place. She was born August 16, 1919, in Cole County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Matthias and Mathilda (Kempker) Goetz. She attended school at Immanuel Lutheran School at Honey Creek. On August 4, 1975, she was united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church, to Lewis E. Miller, who preceded her in death. Clara was employed with the Missouri State Library and was also a waitress at the Tea Room, Manhattan CafE, and Governor Hotel. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Honey Creek. Clara enjoyed cooking and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by a brother: Cletus Goetz of Jefferson City; two sisters: Frieda Siebeneck of Jefferson City and Lorene Innes of Hammond, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Helen Andres, Agnes Pistel, Hilda Cochtrell, Alma Goetz; and two brothers: Elmer Goetz and Alfred Goetz. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Honey Creek, with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
