Mason Lee Schuster, 45, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo., with his family by his side. Mason was born August 14, 1976, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Vincent and Lisa (Ash) Schuster. He graduated from New Bloomfield High School in 1994. On September 25, 1999, he married his high school sweetheart, Christina Barfield, in Holts Summit, Mo. For 20 years he worked for his uncle, Troy Ash, at Callaway Foundations, but was presently employed at Callaway Water District #1. Whether it was at home or at work, he was known as "Mr. Fix-It", there wasn't anything that he could not fix. He was the jack of all trades. Mason was tough as nails with a heart of gold and would do anything for family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved trucks, tinkering around on small engines, long conversations, bargaining, hunting and fishing, but his greatest love of all was for his three children, Payton, Ashton, and Charlee. His love of hunting and fishing was passed on to his children, nephews and future son-in-law. Recently he took on the hobby of designing and creating turkey calls with his father. He was a hard-working family man with a contagious laugh and he will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: his wife, Christina Schuster; one son, Ashton Lee Schuster; two daughters, Payton Noel Schuster (Colton Vidmar) and Charlee Nelle Schuster, all of the home; his parents, Vincent and Lisa Schuster of Holts Summit, Mo.; one brother, Burke (Lydia) Schuster of Millersburg, Mo.; one sister, Chanda (Taylor) Bedsworth of New Bloomfield, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Patsy Schuster; mother-in-law, Carole Gillilan; brother-in-law, Jon Barfield; sister-in-law, Kim (Bob) Busby; and 10 nieces and nephews, Shannon (Andrew) Scoggins, Jackson and Drake Busby, Macie, Zoee, Zander, and Zyler Schuster, Corbin, Alden, and Colt Bedsworth. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mancil and Frances Ash; paternal grandfather, A.L. Schuster; and two uncles, Bruce Schuster and Bill Wilson (one of his greatest influencers). Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mason Schuster Memorial Family Education Fund, c/o Central Bank, 100 State Rd AE, New Bloomfield, MO 65063. Fond memories and online condolences may be shared at www.debofuneral.com for the Schuster family.
