Gary Robert Mueller

Gary Robert Mueller, 73, of Jefferson City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 14, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1947, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of the late Emil and Frances Ann (Bruemmer) Mueller. He was united in marriage on May 12, 1973, in Jefferson City to Anna Martin. He was a 1965 graduate of Helias High School. Gary attended Lincoln University prior to being drafted into the United States Army. He served for two years with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam before being honorably discharged. Gary began working for Cheseborough Ponds in the warehouse and worked his way up to supervisor. He was a hard worker and known for his strong work ethic. He enjoyed gardening, watching his nieces and nephews in their many sporting events, and collecting recipes that he never got around to cooking. His real passion was that of dance competition attendee, especially if a certain little girl was on the stage. Gary was a devoted family man and making memories with his daughter and granddaughter was his greatest joy. He will be greatly missed. Gary is survived by his daughter, Emily Mueller; siblings, Kenneth Mueller, Dennis Mueller and Debbie Klindt; granddaughter, Honor Ann Hall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mueller; son-in-law, Todd Hall; and brother-in-law, Ernie Klindt. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
