Crescentia "Cency" Marie Luetkemeyer, age 87, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Koeltztown on December 25, 1932, daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Boeckman) Reinsch. On September 11, 1954, in Koeltztown, Cency married Alfred Luetkemeyer, who survives at their home. Cency had one of life's most rewarding careers as a homemaker and was devoted to raising her nine children. She was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Cency was a member of the St. Lawrence church choir, St. Ann's Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary, St. Elizabeth Quilting Club, and served as a 4-H leader. Cency loved spending time at their lake home and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers. She was forever a St. Elizabeth Hornet fan. She enjoyed singing to her grandchildren, bowling with friends, and dancing with loved ones. She left a lasting impression with her positive outlook on life which will live on forever in her children and grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband, Alfred Luetkemeyer, she is also survived by nine children, Karen Wilde (Vic) of St. Elizabeth, Sharon Luetkemeyer of Kansas City, Gloria Spitzkeit (Gary) of Kansas City, Perry Luetkemeyer of Columbia, Dean Luetkemeyer (Denise) of St. Elizabeth, John Luetkemeyer (Lora) of St. Elizabeth, Jim Luetkemeyer of Jefferson City, Judy Farnam (Bob) of Jefferson City, and Dennis Luetkemeyer (Ginger) of Taos; 21 grandchildren, Alysha Oneil (Eric), Megan Wright (Quentin), Justin Wilde (Toi), Jeanna Henderson (Josh), Brian Spitzkeit (Natasha), Emmaline Luetkemeyer, Mandy Gibson (Keith), Jennifer Doerhoff (Wes), Russell Luetkemeyer (Karley), Sarah Wankum (Darren), Angie Voss (Quentin), Craig Luetkemeyer (Jamie), Kara Wilbers (Jamie), Tim Luetkemeyer (Ashleigh), Taylor Luetkemeyer, Paul Farnam, Chris Farnam, Brooke Wilde, Molly Farnam, Silas Luetkemeyer, and Sam Luetkemeyer; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Elaine Luetkemeyer; two sisters, Agatha Bisges and Leona Buersmeyer; and two brothers, John Reinsch and Clarence Reinsch. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Fr. Joby Thomas officiating. The public is welcome to attend the graveside service with social distancing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at St. Lawrence Cemetery in St. Elizabeth. Due to the private service and the COVID restrictions, in lieu of flowers and food donations, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Lawrence Cemetery Trust or St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
