Amanda "Mandi" Heiland, 39, of Jamestown, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the University Hospital in Columbia. She was the daughter of James William Ragsdale Jr. and Phyllis Ragsdale. She was engaged to the love of her life, Scott Harris. She attended homeschool at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She worked for Missouri Broadcasters Association for 10 years then later became the owner of her business, Vantage Consultants, for the last five years. Mandi enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and cooking. She was known for her fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. There was nothing Mandi loved more than gardening and watching her sons play sports. Most of all, she cherished the moments created with family. Mandi is survived by her fiancé: Scott Harris; sons: Brock and Aiden Heiland; parents: James Ragsdale Jr. and Phyllis Ragsdale; sisters: Michelle Lehew and Miranda Stevenson; nieces and nephews: Mason Lehew, Tyler Stevenson, Sean Stevenson and Meagan Stevenson. Mandi's family and friends were very important to her. In keeping with the guidelines of the CDC, the family is going to do a private service followed by a viewing for friends and coworkers from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. When you come on the parking lot at the funeral home you will remain in your car and be directed around to the front Portico at Houser Millard Funeral Home. You will be shown where to stop under the Portico to view through the picture window. This will help accommodate family and friends in a safe manner and will be a way to show your respect in these unusual times. You may take a Memorial Service Folder and leave a personalized message for family through video streaming. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Brock and Aiden's Educational Fund.
