Glenda Louise Elgin, née Wisner, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, after a fierce battle with cancer. She was born on March 25, 1961, to John, and Shirley Wisner of Tipton, Missouri. Glenda grew up in the mid-Missouri area and graduated from Tipton High School in 1979. She devoted her life to the service of others and worked for years in helping professions. An avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Glenda was delighted when they won the Superbowl this year and enjoyed attending games. She loved spending time with her family and beloved dogs, painting rocks, and ran her first 5k shortly before falling ill. Glenda is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard Elgin; daughter and son-in-law, Anthony and Johna Trapani; and son, Riley Elgin. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Wisner; siblings, Anita Keene and Gene Wisner, as well as one granddaughter, multiple nieces, one nephew, and many extended relations and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her father. Services will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the New Living Hope Church in Jefferson City, Missouri.Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, or locally to the Goldschmidt Cancer Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.
