William Matthew Lichius, 50, of Lexington, Mo. and a Jefferson City, Mo. native, died Saturday, August 1, 2020. Matt was born November 19, 1969, in Jefferson City to Mary Ellen Kinstler and William Michael Lichius. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended Trinity Lutheran School, Helias and St. Mary's Catholic High School in Independence and Lincoln University. He married the love of his life, Heather Louise Mazick at Jefferson City Trinity Lutheran, on July 28, 1990, and they recently celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary. He was skilled in woodworking and enjoyed traveling and hunting. He was a great cook. He loved playing with his three dogs. Matt was loved by many and was always fun to be around. He loved his Lord. Always one to help those in need, it wasn't unusual for him to stop the car to give to the needy on the road. He would be proud of any Memorials to the Jefferson City Samaritan Center.
