Edward "Keith" Mauzy

Edward "Keith" Mauzy, 69, of Holts Summit, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at St. Mary's Health Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 14, 1950, in Salem, Missouri, a son of the late Roy and Virginia (Chambers) Mauzy. He was united in marriage to Linda L. Weaver on September 1, 1972, in Jefferson City. Keith began working as a roofer and he was part of the National Roofing Union for 10 years. He then joined the Sheet Metal Local 36 and retired after 32 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, making knives, and watching television. Keith could build, fix and create anything he set his mind to. He got a kick out of using movie quotes in his conversations. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and many folks knew him for the distinctive Chevy pickup he drove for 42 years. What he was most proud of was his family and he cherished the times he spent with them He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Linda L. Mauzy; children: Mikeal Keith Mauzy (Kelly) of Jefferson City and Joanna (Joni) Mauzy-Adamson of Holts Summit; grandbabies: Ashley Bullock (Nick), Cody Colter, Kaleb Mauzy and Chloe Adamson; siblings: Bonnie Major of Salem, Dave Mauzy of Jefferson City, Brian Mauzy (Kitty) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who were very special to him. Keith was preceded in death by his brothers: Don and Ron Mauzy. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Memorial Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment is private for the family. Friends are invited to dress casual as Keith would want. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
