Dorothy "Dot" Vaughan, 81, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019, surrounded by her family. Dot was born on August 2, 1938, in Callaway County to the late Vollie C. Salmons, Sr. and Lucille Shryock Salmons. She was married to Cotton Vaughan on November 7, 1958, in Columbia, Missouri and he survives. She was a 1956 graduate of Fulton High School and had worked at Fulton City Hall for 34 years until her retirement. Dot was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield. She will be remembered for enjoying St. Louis Cardinal baseball and for her love of spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is also survived by two children, Vance Vaughan of Fulton and Tonya (Steve) Dean of Jefferson City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Summer (Derek) Hunter and Bo Dean (Brooke Wuest); two sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Naomi and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Dot was also preceded in death by 11 siblings and their spouses, Pearl (Raymond) Hamilton, Frances (Marshal) Schilz, Robert (Abbie) Salmons, Roy (Mary Jane) Salmons, Ernest (Minnie) Salmons, Betty (Jim) Lawrence, Albert (Bernice) Salmons, Glen Salmons, Ted Salmons, Joe (Jackie) Salmons and Leo (Betty) Salmons. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
