COLUMBIA - The Helias Crusaders dropped a 1-0 decision Wednesday to the Battle Spartans in Central Missouri Activities Conference action.
Battle (5-3 overall, 1-1 CMAC) got the game-winner on a free kick with about 13 minutes left in the second half.
Helias (2-6, 1-3) will play Friday and Saturday in the Richard Wilson Classic at the 179 Soccer Park. Helias opens against Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 5 p.m. Friday, then will play two games Saturday.
Wednesday's JV game between Helias and Battle ended scoreless.
