The Helias Crusaders joined the Blair Oaks Falcons as area teams in this week's Missouri Media Rankings released Monday night.
Helias (2-1) entered the Class 5 rankings at No. 10 after defeating previously Class 5 No. 5 Battle 35-22 last Friday night in Columbia.
Blair Oaks (3-0) remained No. 1 in Class 3 after defeating California 61-35 last Friday night at the Falcon Athletic Complex. The Falcons received nine of the 10 first-place votes in the rankings. Odessa (3-0), now No. 2 in the rankings, got the other first-place vote.
Jackson in Class 5 and Lamar in Class 2 are the only two teams to receive all 10 first-place votes in their class.
Windsor remained at No. 1 in Class 1 and received nine first-place votes, with No. 3 Mid-Buchanan getting the 10th.
Smithville received eight first-place votes to stay at No. 1 in Class 4. No. 2 West Plains and No. 3 MICDS each received one first-place vote.
There was a shakeup in the Class 6 rankings after previously No. 1 Raymore-Peculiar dropped a 42-14 decision to then No. 5 Liberty North.
C.B.C. (2-1), with five first-place votes, climbed two spots to take over the No. 1 spot after beating then-No. 2 De Smet 44-29. Liberty North (2-1) received four first-place votes and is in at No. 2 this week, while Joplin (3-0) moved up one spot to No. 3 and got the remaining first-place vote. Raymore-Peculiar (2-1) dropped to No. 4.
