ROLLA — Lydia Coulson pitched a complete game to book the Capital City Lady Cavaliers a spot in the Class 4 District 5 final in a 6-1 win Wednesday against the Marshfield Lady Blue Jays.

Coulson gave up one run and four hits with 14 strikeouts. Emma Stieferman opened the scoring in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single with two outs to score Kennedy Schanuth. Kiana Massie tied the game for the Lady Blue Jays in the top of the fifth after stealing second and scoring on a error.

Maysen Karr and Schanuth had two RBI singles to give Capital City the lead back before Camryn Sharp hit a three-run home run to center to extend the lead to 6-1.

Coulson struck out the side to end the game in the top of the seventh.

Capital City (24-7) will play Rolla (28-8) in the district title game at 5 p.m. today at Rolla Middle School.
