Helias boys golf takes team honors at own Invitational

Archer Schnieders finished second as the Helias Crusaders claimed team honors Monday in the Helias Invitational at Jefferson City Country Club.

Schnieders shot a 75 to lead the Crusaders. Ryan Lee of Pembroke Hill took medalist honors with an even-par 72.

Helias shot a 316 to win big school team honors. Pembroke Hill was second with a 328, while Hickman was third with a 334.

Davis Linhardt added a 77 for the Crusaders to tie for third with Grant Beichley of Pembroke Hill, while Drew Higgins was 10th with an 81. Burke Bauer shot an 83 to finish 12th among big-school individuals for the Crusaders, while Graham Johnson totaled an 87 for Helias.

The Capital City Cavaliers finished ninth in the big-school standings with a 396.

Noah Coleman shot an 86 to pace the Cavaliers. Blake Meredith finished with a 101 for Capital City, one shot better than teammate Sam Uptergrove. Eli Schuemann finished with a 107, while Parker Noble totaled a 121.

Jefferson City was 10th in the big-school standings after totaling a 398.

Austin Caudle led the Jays with a 93. Chase Dietzel was right behind with a 94, while Tate Riley finished with a 194. Caleb Truller had a 107, while Carson Glaser carded a 123.

Blair Oaks finished second in the small-school division with a 346.

Dylan Bryan totaled an 80 to lead the Falcons and tie for second among small-school individuals. JJ Quehl added an 84 to tie for fifth, while Jake Closser totaled an 85 to tie for eighth. Todd Bisges finished with a 97, while Nick Closser had a 107.

The Helias JV was third in the small-school team standings with a 347.

Miles Vollet finished in a tie for fifth with an 84, while Todd Gerling shot an 87. Connor McDaniel and Jordan Ralston both added 88s, while Miles Godbee totaled a 92 for the Crusasders.

Linn was sixth in the small-school standings with a 378.

Alek Peters of the Wildcats was among those who tied for fifth with an 84.

New Bloomfield finished ninth among small schools after totaling a 515. Joe Fuhriman led the Wildcats with a 115.

Father Tolton took small-school team honors with a score of 324.

Christian Rischer of Father Tolton was the small-school medalist with a 75.
