WESTPHALIA - The Fatima girls won the team title Tuesday at the Rick Buersmeyer Invitational, while the Blair Oaks boys and girls teams each finished in second place.
The Lady Comets posted 146.5 points in the nine-team event, while the Blair Oaks girls finished with 139. Steelville was third with 114.
The Blair Oaks boys tallied 123 points, trailing only Steelville's 157. Fatima placed third with 78 points.
The Lady Falcons won seven of the 18 events at the meet. Payton Mitchell was a double-winner in the individual events, finishing first in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.
In other individual events, Emily Sporleder won the 400-meter dash for the Blair Oaks girls, Natalie Heckman won the 800-meter run and Ansley Casey placed first in the 1,600-meter run.
Blair Oaks also won the girls 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays, with Chelsi Forck and Clara Lackman running in both relays. Lucia Wilde and Jazmin Birky filled out the 4x800, while Kaelin Forck and Courtney Russell ran the other two legs of the 4x400.
The Fatima girls finished with three event wins, claiming titles in the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays. Corinn Karst also place first in the girls high jump.
The Belle Lady Tigers entered two individuals in four events, winning three titles. Gracie Schultz won the 100-meter dash, while Susan Moman finished first in the shot put and discus.
Aubrey Struemph took first in the girls pole vault for the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets' only event win.
The Blair Oaks boys claimed titles in four events. The Falcons matched the girls team with a win in the 4x400, while Levi Frisbie also won the 800. Nick Stover took first place in the 3,200-meter run and Luke LePage claimed first in the pole vault.
Easton Haslag won the 1,600 for the Comets' one first-place finish.
