Prep Baseball: Russellville 5, Eldon 0

ELDON - Three Russellville pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter Tuesday, as the Indians defeated the Eldon Mustangs 5-0.

Charlie Miller was the winning pitcher for Russellville, striking out six in 4 innings. Jesse Daniel had a strikeout in 1 innings of relief, while Logan Cinotto recorded a strikeout in the seventh.

Landon Waggoner's RBI double in the top of the second inning gave Russellville a 1-0 lead.

In the third, Jake Schulte hit a two-run single, and the Indians' remaining two runs were scored in the fifth, both on errors.

Plochberger, Schulte and Alex Oligschlaeger each had two hits for the Indians.

Eldon's lone hit came in the sixth on a two-out single by Kasen Bashore, who was also the Mustangs' starting pitcher, striking out five batters in six innings.

Russellville (6-1), ranked No. 1 in Class 2 by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association released this week, will host Fatima on Thursday in a Show-Me Conference matchup.

Fatima is ranked No. 9 in Class 4.

Eldon (2-8) will continue its homestand today against Moberly.

Russellville also won Tuesday's JV game 6-1.
