Prep Baseball: Jamestown 12, Pilot Grove 4

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Eagles hit three home runs Monday night en route to a 12-4 win against the Pilot Grove Tigers.

The Eagles hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the first inning. Gage Reynolds hit a three-run blast, followed by a solo shot from Shayne Harlan to make the score 4-0.

Mack Sorrells hit a grand slam in the fifth to extend the lead to 12-3.

Five players had mulithit games for the Eagles, led by Sorrells, who went 3-for-4, adding a pair of doubles to go with five RBI.

Reynolds had two hits and three RBI, while Harlan and Bradley Schoenthal hit two singles and an RBI. Cole Higgins finished with a single and a double.

Sorrells was the winning pitcher for Jamestown. In 4 innings, he allowed three runs on five hits with five walks and four strikeouts. Schoenthal pitched the remaining 2 innings, giving up one run on two hits while striking out two.

Jamestown (3-1) plays Thursday at Higbee in CCAA action.
