NEW BLOOMFIELD - Fatima continued its long string of games away from Westphalia on Tuesday, dropping a close one to New Bloomfield 6-5.
Chayce Gier had two hits for the Lady Comets. In the pitcher's circle, Gier struck out five and walked one while allowing eight hits.
Karli Struemph, Faith Jaegers and Kaitlyn Plassmeyer each added a hit for Fatima (6-6), which plays today at Centralia.
Fatima's next scheduled home game is Oct. 5 against Eugene.
