Prep Volleyball: Blair Oaks wins in four sets

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons played past the third set for the first time this season Monday, but they still came away with a 25-13, 21-25, 25-15, 25-9 win against the Battle Spartans.

Elsie Villmer led Blair Oaks with 11 kills, followed by Autumn Bax with eight and Emma Schroeder with seven. Madi Rissmiller and Emily Tellman finished with 18 and 14 assists, respectively, Payton Mitchell tallied 12 digs, Schroeder posted three blocks and Kennedy Flanner served four aces.

Blair Oaks (9-2) hosts Eldon in tripleheader today. The freshman match starts at 5 p.m., followed by the JV match at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity at 7:30 p.m.

In Monday's JV match, Blair Oaks defeated Battle 25-14, 25-13 to improve to 11-0. Bax had team-highs of seven kills two blocks, while Aubrey Hardwick and Abbi Wieberg added five and four kills, respectively. Libby Juergensmeyer finished with 18 assists and Anna Wekenborg had three aces.

In the C team match, Blair Oaks won in three sets 18-25, 25-15, 15-4 to improve to 5-2-2. Abby Heckman had five kills for the Lady Falcons, Alison Sporleder finished with six assists, Maddalen Prenger added six digs and Brooke Lehmen served eight aces.
