Russellville rolls past Iberia in baseball

RUSSELLVILLE - Dawson Koch and Logan Cinotto each hit a grand slam as the Russellville Indians defeated the Iberia Rangers 24-1 on Thursday night in summer league play.

Cinotto finished the game with a game-high five RBI, going 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the eight-run third inning.

Koch was 1-for-1 with his grand slam coming in the nine-run second inning. He also drew a walk.

Landon Plochberger was one of 10 Indians to drive in at least one run, finishing the game 1-for-2 with three RBI and a walk.

Braden Hickey also drove in three runs, as he had a double and a single. Jake Schulte, Nick Graham and Nolan Schroer each had two RBI.

On the mound, Cinotto struck out five and walked two while allowing two hits in three scoreless innings to earn the win.

Russellville is back in action Tuesday when it faces Father Tolton and Harrisburg in Harrisburg.
