Boys Soccer: Jays finish 2-1 at Parkview Tournament

SPRINGFIELD - The Jefferson City Jays went 2-1 in the Parkview Tournament, falling to Carthage 2-1 on Friday and defeating Glendale 2-1 in PKs and Parkview 8-0 on Saturday.

The Jays outshot Carthage 17-4 in their first game of the day. Ethan Blake scored their goal.

Blake also scored against Glendale. Blake, Zach Leary and Darby Hall each scored in PKs.

Toby Hughes made two saves during the PK round.

Scoring at least one goal against Parkview were Breck McGrail, Sam Allen, Hall, Bassil Ahmed, Michael Matfield and Oddie Ihenacho.

Leary, Will Kuster, Ethan Dubois, Matfield and Allen recorded an assist each.

Jefferson City (4-3) plays Monday at Southern Boone.
