COLUMBIA - The Battle Spartans scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday to rally for an 8-7 win against the Fatima Lady Comets.
Battle led 4-0 after three innings, but Fatima scored twice in the fourth, added two more runs in the fifth and scored three times in the sixth to take a 7-6 lead.
Bridget Holterman led the Lady Comets with three hits and three RBI and Chesney Luebbering added three hits. Ally Bonnot also drove in a pair of runs.
Chayce Geier took the loss for Fatima, allowing five hits in two innings of relief. Bonnot pitched 4 innings and struck out three.
Fatima (1-3) plays today at Helias. The JV game starts at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity game to follow around 6 p.m.
