College Football: Thomas totals 13 tackles

KIRKSVILLE - Truman State sophomore defensive back Ben Thomas posted a game-high 13 total tackles Saturday in the Bulldogs' 31-21 loss to Lindenwood.

Thomas (Blair Oaks High School) had nine solo stops and two pass breakups.

Truman State redshirt freshman quarterback Nolan Hair (Blair Oaks High School) was 20-of-28 passing for 201 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had nine carries for 54 yards.

Through five games, Thomas has a team-high 41 tackles (30 solo stops) with 2.5 tackles for loss and eight pass breakups for the Bulldogs.

Hair is 83-of-133 passing for 866 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions. He is also second on the team with 90 yards rushing on 26 carries.

Freshman defensive back Jake Closser (Blair Oaks High School) did not have a tackle in Saturday's loss, but he has four solo tackles and one forced fumble in five appearances this season.

Lindenwood senior wide receiver Alex Faddoul (Helias High School) had three catches for 16 yards in Saturday's win.

Through five games, Faddoul is tied for the team lead with 17 catches, totaling 198 yards receiving. He has two touchdown receptions, including a 20-yard score in Week 4 against Findlay.

Truman State (4-1), ranked No. 18 in the AFCA Division II Top 25 poll, will play Saturday at Missouri S&T.

Lindenwood (3-2) will host Quincy for Homecoming on Saturday.
