Women's Basketball: Lutz scores 18 to pace Western Illinois

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Western Illinois junior guard Elizabeth Lutz finished with a team-high 18 points Saturday in the Leathernecks' 87-66 loss to South Dakota State.

Lutz (California High School) played 28 minutes in her ninth start of the season, shooting 6-of-10 from the floor, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range. She also had two rebounds and two assists.

In 12 games this season, Lutz is fourth on the Leathernecks in scoring with 7.3 points per game. She is second on the team with 31 assists and has made nine 3-pointers.

Western Illinois (2-10) hosts UMKC on Friday.
