College Softball: Westminster's Bledsoe tosses complete game

FULTON - Westminster senior Brooklyn Bledsoe pitched a complete game last Saturday, leading the Blue Jays to an 8-2 win against Iowa Wesleyan.

Bledsoe (Eldon High School) struck out seven while walking six in seven innings. She gave up two runs on four hits, improving her season record to 2-0.

Bledsoe also hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, her first homer of the season.

In five pitching appearances, Bledsoe has a 4.50 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 23 innings. As a hitter, she is batting .237 (19-for-80) with 14 runs scored and 13 RBI.

Westminster finished the regular season with a 15-17 record. The Blue Jays will play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, which begins Tuesday.
