Women's Soccer: Columbia College's Hamilton scores two goals

COLUMBIA - Columbia College sophomore forward Reese Hamilton had two goals and an assist Saturday in the Cougars' 8-0 win against Hannibal-LaGrange.

Hamilton (Helias High School) assisted Columbia College's first goal by Jewel Morelan in the 16th minute.

She then scored the Cougars' second goal in the 23rd minute of the game.

In the second half, Hamilton added the final goal of the contest in the 76th minute to make it 8-0.

Through five games, Hamilton has scored three goals for Columbia College, one off the team lead.

The assist was her first of the season.

Sophomore defender Greta Haarmann (Jefferson City High School) started for the Cougars and helped secure their fourth shutout of the season.

Hannibal-LaGrange did not record any shots on goal in the contest.

Columbia College (5-0) will host Central Baptist College on Saturday.
