STERLING, Kan. — Doane senior guard Isiah Sykes had a game-high six assists to go with 12 points off the bench last Thursday in the Tigers' 85-83 win against Sterling (Kan.).

Sykes (Helias High School) shot 3-of-6 from 3-point range and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line, adding two steals in the win.

In eight games this season — including seven starts — Sykes is averaging 8.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He is second on the team with 11 made 3s and leads the Tigers with 21 assists.

Doane (2-6) hosts Jamestown (N.D.) on Saturday.
