College Volleyball: Brauner leads Central Methodist

PARKVILLE - Central Methodist sophomore libero Krystal Brauner had a team-high 16 digs Saturday in the Eagles' 19-25, 19-25, 12-25 loss to Park in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament championship.

Brauner (Helias High School) leads the Eagles with 613 digs this season, which ranks 23rd in the NAIA.

Freshman outside hitter Annabelle Maassen (Jefferson City High School) had three kills and eight digs, while sophomore right-side hitter Callie Henson (Helias High School) added six kills.

This season, Henson leads the Eagles with 366 kills, while Maassen is fourth with 221 kills and second with 345 digs.

Central Methodist (28-7), ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, will host Southwestern Assemblies of God on Saturday in the Opening Round of the NAIA national championships.
